"Good pneumonia care at Doncaster Royal"

I was treated for Pneumonia at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The best thing about my stay on Ward 24 was the respect and courtesy shown to patients by doctors and their students.

The only thing that I felt could be improved was the timing between medication and meals, they often coincided, but I suppose with patient numbers it is unavoidable.

I would like to thank one nursing assistant, though I'm not sure of her rank. She was superb to all in her care, she was so happy in her job. A Polish girl named Patricia.

I was very frightened on being told what the trouble was, but the doctor (Dr. Rogers I think) put me at ease in a very kind understanding way.

I was soon sent to ward 24 and was made very comfortable.
