Unfortunately, I suffered a heart attack on the 7th November 2014. I attended Salford Royal A&E the following day and ended up being admitted to Coronary Care for the next 5 days. Upon being admitted I immediately explored whether I should initiate my private medical insurance but in the end decided to put my faith in the NHS! From this point forward I can only say it was absolutely the right decision. The care I have received throughout the whole process has been first class. From the hospital stay (including the food :)) to the subsequent cardiac rehabilitation, every aspect has been of the highest quality. The services offered and the level of support have really helped me come to terms with my heart attack and got me 'back to normal' in the shortest possible time frame. I would like to give a special 'thank you' to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team at Salford Royal and particularly one member of staff. His help, support and 'going the extra mile' have helped me massively. Well done and a big thank you to the NHS!!!!
