I am 31 weeks pregnant and having bad chest pains and struggling to breathe! Rang 111 at around 10:30pm and had a non emergency ambulance come out to me, they checked me over and told me I needed to go to a & e. They took me up to a & e at around 11:30pm and had my BP taken straight away. Me and OH say in the waiting room from 11:45 until 2am waiting for a doctor only to be told that we are not a high priority and we will just have to wait, after waiting another hour and a half taking it to 3:30am and still not being seen we asked again and got the same response. The lady on reception was rude and made me feel like I was wasting their time, at this point I had been waiting nearly 4 hours and couldn't take any more so I left and came home. Absolutely disgusted with how I was treated especially at 31 weeks pregnant and being taken in an ambulance. Makes me wonder what the hell I (along with millions of other people) are paying National Insurance for! It's an absolute joke!
"Disgusted!"
