"Podiatry surgery"

About: Primary and community services / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I had a scarf and akin operation (bunion removal and toe straightening) at the Podiatry unit at the Jordanthorpe Medical Centre.

I cannot recommend this unit high enough.

Every single person in the world takes health care seriously. They focus their whole attention on their customers, making you feel at ease throughout.

Going for an operation whilst awake can be daunting. The special people who work here put you at ease, explain what will happen, how it will feel and really care. This included the care Worker, the specialists and the consultant.

The anesthetist is amazing. He is lovely. It's not nice, admittedly, but his manner is so caring. He takes his time, asks if you are ok throughout the procedure and keeps an eye on you as it progresses.

I cannot recommend this surgery enough. The paperwork explains everything and the after care has also been excellent. They provide a 24/7 phone service if you have any problems, which is so reassuring too.

Thank you Shirls for your positive feedback which I will pass on to the staff concerned. It means so much to the staff to receive such compliments. Kind regards.
