"Professional hospital transfer"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

After suffering shortness of breath, wheeze and cough my GP sent me to hospital for further investigation and assessment.

The ambulance crew, Akim and David from Annan, arrived promptly at the doctors surgery and put me at ease throughout my journey. They were both understanding, kind and professional and for that I would like them to know that I am thankful for their assistance.

Hi DSherret

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. The importance of good communication skills, empathy and kindess when providing healthcare is often underestimated. Your story reminds us of how important these skills are.

I am glad that Akim and David were able to make you feel better at what must have been a difficult time for you. I hope that you are recovering well and will try and ensure that your thanks is passed onto them.

take care

Martin.
