My relative went to the Northern General at the end of July to treat a chest infection. He stayed on ward Brierley 2.
I have no complaints of my relative's treatment. The only concern I have is on the leaving arrangement where the hospital was to contact me when he was going to leave.
They didn’t, they sent him home without anyone being here and he was left alone for 5 hours without a drink or toilet help. I have phoned the hospital and complained.
His carers were not booked for a teatime call but they still sent him out for approx 11 o’clock. This is not acceptable to send a 87 year old man home without his care plan.
