"Amazing Midwives and SCBU Nurses"

About: East Surrey Hospital

I had my son back in December and could not fault the care and attention we received. I was taken in on the Monday early hours after my waters had broken early hours Sunday. From then on I was monitored and looked after by the amazing staff on Rusper ward and the delivery suite. I had two midwives looking after me, they were amazing and made my labour stress free and almost enjoyable. They were professional and attentive, as were all the nurses in SCBU after my son was re-admitted due to jaundice. I had an assisted birth and all those involved were professional and the procedure was performed professionally in the delivery room I was in and my son was attended to immediately, he was happy and healthy and also peed on the midwives a couple times the little monkey. Overall I would highly recommend this unit and will definitely have my next baby here.

Dear Chrissie F

Thank you for your comments about the maternity service here at East Surrey Hospital. Giving birth is a hugely emotional time so it particularly good to read that your son and you felt so cared for by the midwifery team and the nursing team on SCBU. It is also good to see that you are would like your next delivery here as well.

I will share your comments with the team who I know will be pleased to read them.

Kind regards

Ian
