"Fantastic friendly Staff at A&E"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

My son was distressed with breathing difficulties in the night. He is asthmatic so we were concerned when the mediation was ineffective. We dialled 999. Ambulance was there in 10 minutes. They said croup strait away. Within the hour he had been seen by two Doctors and lots of nurses. All staff were great with him. He was put on a nebuliser, given adrenaline and steroids, monitored and recovered quickly. Then on the ward for a few hours before being discharged. All medical staff we attentive, friendly and communicated well. We got a gold service. It is to easy to take NHS for granted. World Class service. Must protect it at all costs. Big Thank You to the great people doing such a great job.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff in our Childrens Department. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
