Arrived by ambulance at 4pm on Sunday. After a night in A&E I went to Benham Ward, then next day to Rowan. Had various tests and an MRI scan was done on Monday at 1.20pm. Had to stay in on Monday night because the scan results were not available until about 7pm on Tuesday. The consultant said he was going to look at them and came back ten minutes later saying the tests were OK and I could go home. Wonderful news! The staff are all brilliant, dedicated in every department, but it is obvious there is a need for more. At the last ward I was in, Rowan, there was a hunt for a pillow for the bed. They are in short supply, apparently! Overall I was impressed with the food. My only moan is the time the MRI scan result took. If it had been available later on Monday I could have been home a day earlier, and my bed would have been available for another patient.
