"Thanks for looking after me!"

I've just returned from the hospital after getting my tonsils out yesterday and this is my review: Pros: The staff were wonderful, so caring and kind. All of the nurses who dealt with me from the one in the surgical changing room, to the lovely woman who held my hand as I was put to sleep with a general anaesthetic, the consultant anaesthetist herself and the nuses on the 23 Hr ward. Especially a particular nurse who was very kind to me when I had a panic attack when I felt very sick. I cannot thank each of you enough for how amazing you all were. The ward was very clean and fantastic to be in such a relaxed environment. Though the operation could have been potentially cancelled at a point earlier in the day they worked hard to secure me a bed so I could have an operation. Cons (only one!) My only slight criticism comes in the outpatient appointments I had in the months leading up to the tonsillectomy - I felt rushed through the process and things had not been explained to me adequately. I particularly reference when I had the results of my sleep study, the Dr (who I was her last appointment of the day) rushed me and I wanted to run through what the full results were. Also I only was able to secure an actual date for the tonsillectomy by randomly calling them rather than receiving a letter within a set time confirming a date. Apart from this I would recommend this hospital to anyone. So thanks for everyone's help especially the nurses.
