"Worse than a care home"

All patience are ginnepigs as this is a teaching focused hospital (if you can call it a hospital). Paitence are left to sit in their own pads until they have burst, which can lead to awful staining of their clothes. Basic needs are not met and patience are left in their beds unchecked for over 6hrs. If you every wondered how bad a nursing home might be, times that by 4 for this place. You only have to ask what other relatives say and the reasons that they are there. It's not just to visit their loved one its checking to make sure they are getting basic care. I over heard one couple say "we're only hear everyday to keep an eye on our son, and as the carers or only carers by name". It's not easy for a lot of the relatives to be at the hospital everyday because of the distance, some mothers and fathers have to trave from as far away as Scotland.
