"Staff are simply amazing."

About: Southampton General Hospital

Mother was brought into A&E on Monday afternoon after a fall and it was horrendously busy - with patients lined up in a queue to be seen. No complaints in that score - I could see the pressure the dept was under. What was outstanding was the cheerfulness and energy of the staff working there - she was regularly offered refreshments and properly looked after. Many thanks to everyone working there on Monday.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about your mother's visit to the Emergency Department. There is no doubt that the department is under great pressure much of the time, the staff do work incredibly hard to make the experience of each patient as positive as it can be. Please be assured that your feedback will be passed onto the staff. We were sorry to read of your mother's fall and trust that she is recovering well from it.
