"My experience of QMC and City Hosptial"

I attended the QMC for an endoscopy and also attended Nottingham City Hospital for a prostate check up. I am writing about my experiences in both hospitals. For both the QMC and City, I discussed my problem with my GP who was excellent. The hospital appointments were arranged by the GP and I thought the booking system follow up was excellent for both hospitals. Following my first hospital appointment at QMC the endoscopy was booked within 5 days which I thought was excellent. At City the follow up appointment was arranged for September. QMC staff were first class, reassuring, sympathetic and efficient. The staff at City were helpful but lacked a “human” touch. The consultant at QMC answered all my questions during and at the end of the process. This whole episode for me was managed really well by QMC and I am thankful to them. I did not see the consultant at City and I thought the senior house officer did not respond appropriately to my concerns of a rise in PSA reading within a six month period, leaving me somewhat anxious.
