"Rheumatoid Specialist"

I had an appointment at Kensington Health Centre to see a Rheumatoid Specialist. It felt more comfortable not having to go into a hospital for this. The experience was very positive. I particularly liked not being asked: Why are you here today? The Specialist knew why I was there and told me immediately, then told me what the appointment was about, did the necessary tests there and gave me the diagnosis with a thorough explanation. The details of which are to be posted to my GP.

I was also referred to support groups. It felt good that I did not have to worry about a diagnosis, knew what to expect and the prospects. I came out of the appointment feeling good even though I have a condition that isn't nice and will have to manage. The experience is far better than any one I have had with a consultant in a hospital.
