"Nothing was too much trouble she even saw me into my house"

About: Nuffield Health, Shrewsbury Hospital West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

My appointment was at 2. 20 I was told to be ready for pick-up 2 hours before. At 1. 15 I rang the transport people& was told my transport was on the way but had two to pick up before me & he eventually arrives at 2. 10! We then had to pick up a husband & wife (who seemed to be in no hurry to meet the vehicle). We eventually started the journey at 2. 35 (I was already late for my appointment) & knowing the road works situation around Emstrey /Preston Boats, of course, more delay!

We eventually arrived at Nuffield at 2. 55. When I went to the appointments desk the staff there could not have been more kind & helpful. After a very short time I was called by Mr Bing who was more that considerate to my slow gait (I have MS). He examined my foot thoroughly & sent me for x-rays (the nurse here was very helpful and patient) then saw Mr Bing again who showed me the x rays & explained the options I had. He then said he would write to my doctor with his findings.

Transport home was arranged and I was assisted by a young lady called Vicky who was so kind and considerate, nothing was too much trouble, she even saw me into my house, made sure the lights were on and stayed to make sure I had locked the door – she was lovely.
