"I was delighted to start my physio so quickly"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I had no worries about having physio. I was worried after reading the leaflet when I read that I might not hear from TRAQS for 8-10 weeks. In reality I heard in just over a week and could get an appointment in 2 days. I was delighted to start my physio so quickly.

Dear Mole397

Thank you for sharing your feedback with the TRAQS team.

I am sorry that the leaflet was confusing. Because TRAQS deals with all first out patient referrals for GP patients within the Telford and Wrekin area the leaflet has been written as a general guide for all specialities and many patients do have to wait 8 - 10 weeks for an appointment at a hospital.

The TRAQS team do advise patients of the waiting time when speaking to the patient and in the letters we send out to patients and we hope that this explains what will happen in more detail.

The waiting time for a physio appointment can vary - this depends on where the patient wishes to be treated and whether the referral is a Routine or Urgent priority.

I am pleased that you were contacted quickly and able to be seen so promptly and hope that you are feeling the benefit of the treatment you received.
