After visiting A&E after our toddler son injured his leg, which turned out to be broken, we had a follow-up appointment at the fracture clinic. We saw the specialist who is a credit to Broomfield Hospital. His knowledge and diagnosis was excellent, and he was incredibly clear with his explanations (without being patronising!). We were seen quickly, treated with respect, and the nurses were absolutely brilliant with our little boy. We left feeling confident that a correct diagnosis and treatment had been made. I'd also like to add that the A&E Department treated us very well, and I was impressed by the separate waiting area for children, which had plenty to keep our little boy occupied during an (understandably) long wait. In particular I'd like to thank the staff in the X-ray Department who were fantastic with our son, even singing to him to help keep him calm. The volunteers who provide the knitted teddy bears are so kind to do such a thing and we were incredibly grateful. I think the NHS offers a fantastic service and, on the whole, the staff do an incredible job under testing circumstances. Thank you for looking after our boy.
