"My treatment regards a hernia operation"

About: Good Hope Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

My hernia was diagnosed in late August 2014.

An appointment was arranged at Good Hope Hospital for early November.

I met with the consultant, Mr Dodds, who relaxed me immediately. My situation was explained clearly my operation was arranged for late December 2014.

The operation duly took place with Mr Dodds explaining beforehand what would happen and explaining what would happen afterwards.

The aftercare following the operation was superb. The nursing staff was attentive, caring and fully understood how I was feeling.
