"Very poor care during and after operation "

I recently had a hip operation at Stepping hill hospital, and I found the entire ordeal frightening.

The operation went fine, but once back on the ward all but a few nurses did not seem to care, I was left lying flat and when given food and drink they wondered why I was not taking it.

I asked to be sat up but all I got was a negative response saying I would only slip down again.

I now understand I should have started some form of exercising, But I was not told to do or given any.

When I left a week later I was not given ANY instruction about exercising of any type, it took my son to get some printed of the internet if I am doing them right who knows and who cares? certainly not SSH

This experience has left me worrying and hoping I do not have to have my other hip done.
