"Wisdom teeth removed"

About: Queen's Medical Centre

It has been 4 days since I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and I can't say how satisfied I was with the care I received. After looking at the reviews on here I scared myself a little because there is not many good reviews but how many times do you write a review when it's good? No one goes out the way to do one so I thought I would write one so when people do look they can see it's not bad at all! When I was ready to go down to surgery I was told everything that was happening and when I was been put under GA the lady was keeping my calm because she seen how nervous I was! I came round after the op and there was a team asking if I was ok and if I would like a drink or anything. Don't let these reviews put you off! I can't thank the team enough, they made me feel comfortable and welcome! When I had my first visit to see if I needed them out I would say it was lack of communication and on both occasions I did wait along time to be seen but I would rather have the extra care when having the op then when I just come to an appointment. :-)

Response from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and glowing comments. It sounds like the staff who looked after you went out of their way to keep you fully informed about your care. It’s understandable that you were anxious about coming into hospital, yet pleasing that our colleagues made you feel at ease. It’s not so great that you had a long wait, but it sounds like the care you received more than made up for that. If you could send us details of the team who looked after you – we will make sure the right staff read your words of praise.
