"Last minute cancellation"
About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital Queen Charlotte's Hospital London W12 0HS
I have been treated extremely poorly by the gynecology department. I have waited 4 months now for a follow up appointment with the consultant. I had an original appointment for the 11th of February, I received a letter on the 9TH January to say that my appointment was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I rang the number that was provided in the letter, after 10 calls I managed to speak with a lady who at this point couldn’t book me in for another appointment due to her laptop or system crashing. She told me to call her again in a few hours. I rang her again and she still had the same issues. She asked me to call her again the day after. I did so and at the end she booked me in for the 11th February at 3.45pm but with a different doctor. My surprised is that on Saturday I received a letter, well I received 3 letters with the same information, to say that I’ve an appointment on 17th of March at 10.45 am. I rang to the same lady I had called her 4 weeks ago and she mentioned that my appointment for the 11th February has been cancelled again and my new appointment is the 17th March 2015. Every time I had to ring to this phone number (02033135125) is either busy or rings out and I have to call at least 10 times each time I want to speak with the same lady. I'm so upset at the lack of respect that they have shown me by cancelling twice my appointment and giving me a new appointment 5 weeks later. The last time I saw a consultant was the 2nd of October and since then I’ve been waiting to have a follow up appointment to start the treatment which they keep cancelling. I guess they forget that there are actual humans behind the reference number who have feelings. I'm dealing with infertility and don't want to postpone my treatment for any longer than is necessary. I'm so worried that I have to wait another few weeks to see the specialist and that they’ll cancel my appointment again. I don’t think I can trust anymore the NHS booking system and their employees.
