"neorology"

About: Leicester General Hospital

The treatment I have received from the Neourology department has been very poor. I was originally referred over 3yrs ago and was seen by an aragant pompous doctor who after a five minute appointment decided I was merely depressed and discharged. I was rerefered after being quite I'll and am still none the wiser to what may be causing my problems and discharged again last year. After ongoing illness I have had an MRI scan 3 weeks ago but have no appointment to get the results. I contacted the department today and was told a doctor will look at the scan on the 10th Feb and i will be sent an appointment after that or if they have no concerns will be discharged again. I have not as yet had a proper opportunity to discuss my health as I have never properly had a full consultation.

Dear Becky, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really sorry to hear about your experience of our Neurology service at the General. This does not reflect the high quality care we expect our patients to receive. Please could you send your details (name, address, date of birth and hospital number) to me -Mark.Lawden@uhl-tr.nhs.uk, so I can look into your case and discuss it with you. Kind regards, Mark Lawden Consultant Neurologist Leicester's Hospitals
