Following a CT scan in January, I received an appointment to see Prof Hawkey at the gastroenterology department at QMC. I saw his registrar instead and he informed me that I required an endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy to investigate the “thickening” in the bowel and the sigmoidal area. This was ultimately carried out and no problems were found. The whole experience was carried out without any problems to myself.
