"The NHS at its best"

I attended a and e this morning at 9am with severe chest pains which I had been experiencing sine late the evening before whilst glancing at the 2hour plus wait to see a doctor I was dreading the wait and the pain once I had been assessed I was swiftly given a bed tests were performed staff kept me updated were compassionate and professional . The department was hectic a power cut was in place with all p c s off thankfully all major equipment was functioning staff were calm efficient and just kept on giving whilst patients were backing up in the a and e dept. Thanks to everyone I was discharged with a follow up appointment tomorrow after reading the horrendous reports in the press abot waiting times and bed shortages I can honestly say the start and the hospital are a credit to the Nhs .
