"Sussex mental health line"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I have called a number of times this line. Sometimes it has helped but others have been cold. The most recent one told me I had three options to keep on cutting my wrist try a distraction technique or go to A&E.

I said I couldn't stop cutting my wrist and he just said OK then and the call was ended. He didn't ask questions as to why I was feeling like this. I just needed to talk and there were just empty silences. It left me feeling even more unsafe and felt like doing something worse.
