"Christmas day anxiety relief"

About: Furness General Hospital

Attending A&E on Christmas day night with two toddlers is never something you'd ask Father Christmas for.... After a finger got trapped in a door, we had to attend at 7pm. I was dreading it. We were seen straight away by a brilliant nurse, we were xrayed immediately by two lovely radiographers who brought toys and were so kind and patient with my little girl, then we were seen by a charismatic and happy Dr who was wishing everyone a happy Christmas. The nurse again was fantastic and they all.made what could have been a trauma, much easier for our small family. They saw us every three days after for two weeks to check for infection and to redress the wound and we only waited longer than ten minutes once. I am so proud of the care we received and very grateful.
