"Corneal Surgery"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

I have been visiting Moorfields quite often since I was first referred in October, 2014. I had a partial corneal transplant for one eye in early December and for the other eye in late January. I have spent 2 nights in Mackellar ward and have attended several clinics (Clinic 4) in that period. For the whole time I have been looked after by the consultant's team with my surgery being done by a surgeon. My care has been absolutely outstanding in every respect. Not only the amazing surgical skill but the willingness to answer questions and the attention following surgery. Even down to the administration by a member of staff who could not have been more helpful and pleasant. I should also add all of the nurses in Mackellar ward, the anesthetists and everybody involved in my surgery who could not have been more pleasant or helpful. I don't believe I could have had better care and attention anywhere.

Thank you for these very positive comments. I will pass them on to the corneal team and the staff on Mackellar Ward.
