"Visit to A&E after being stung by a wasp. 27..."

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

I would like to thank all the A&E staff that were involved with my visit to A & E on Tuesday 27 January which was a result of a nasty wasp sting on my hand. I was very impressed with their care and professionalism in dealing with my problem. I subsequently had to have an operation on my hand and all the people who were part of the team that handled my pre -operation, and then after care on Ward 11 (Trauma) equally impressed me with their caring and professional attitude. Well done Arrowe Park. You have gained a very satisfied supporter.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff in our Emergency Department and on Ward 11. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
