"Emergency admission for urinary problem and..."

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Emergency admission for urinary problem and required an overnight stay. Waited three hours for a bed until 11pm. At 2am I was aroused and asked for information which I had already given. I was moved to another Ward and again - two hours later was awakened and again moved to another ward. On discharge was waiting for transport and prescribed drugs for seven hours with out food or drink.

We are sorry that your experience was stressful. The Trust, like many others currently, is experiencing severe pressure due to very high numbers of emergency admissions, such as yourself, requiring access to beds. An unfortunate consequence is that on occasion we have to arrange inter ward transfers to ensure that the most critically ill patients are appropriately placed.
