"NHS deserves praise when it excels"

After visiting our GP about knee pain, my husband was told to go to imaging department in the new Victoria Hospital next day. No appointment necessary, just check-in at reception and take a seat. I was prepared to be there most of the afternoon. We came into the department at 1-45pm and unbelieveably, x-ray done and on our way at 2-00pm. We hear many complaints about our NHS, but, it deserves praise when it excels.

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

This is an excellent service which provides quick access to simple procedures such as x-rays and I am glad that this was your experience when you visited the department.
