(as the patient),

Wonderful dental experience in the Western Isles Dental Unit recently by a Locum Dentist Mr Nick Cole ...

It would be beneficial to Patients if this Professional was able to do some Private Cosmetic Dentistry while on the Island ... some of us don't mind paying privately for good quality cosmetic dental treatment.

This could surely save NHS some money too as materials could be the Dentists responsibility and it could also reduce the waiting list considerably as so many are now precious about their teeth.

Thank you for posting on Patient Opinion about your experience of dental services. Your feedback is important to us and much appreciated.

We are delighted that you had such a positive experience in the Western Isles Dental Centre under the care of Mr Cole.

In terms of providing private cosmetic dentistry on the island, if the practitioner was to approach the Health Board requesting leasing of surgery accommodation to provide non-NHS treatments, then this would be considered. Any activity should not impact on NHS services, which are the core services delivered by the Health Board.
