"I was admitted into hospital for my operation on..."

About: Pontefract General Infirmary

I was admitted into hospital for my operation on 21/01/15 from the moment I went in I was greeted by the receptionist whom was very helpful. then taken onto the ward to my own room which was lovely, from then on a team of people who would be taking care of me all came and introduced themselves and described their role in my care. the surgeon came and explained everything the physio came and did the same then the anethitist came and introduced himself, I was endless and I felt very reassured about the whole thing. the nursing staff were excellent attending to my every need and the physio came on a daily basis to spend time with me and did not send me home until I was sure that I was able to cope at home, not forgetting the catering team and the cleaning team they all deserve praise. as they all worked well together. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone I do not know about the other departments in the hospital but the elective orthopaedic suite deserves nothing but praise and I do hope that the comment and reviews are passed on to them, they work so hard and long hours they actually do deserve every penny they get and more.
