On the advice of my midwife I attended A and E last night as I believed I may of been having a miscarriage. I was seen by the stream nurse quickly and moved to green area to have blood etc taken before they would move me to a23. Between 7pm and 9:30pm I waited in the green area before being moved to a23. During that time they inserted a line in my arm and took bloods etc. From 9:30pm till 2am! I waited to been seen by a doctor. I had to go and find staff to see if I could get something to eat as I hadn't eaten since lunch time and I had no one with me to go and buy anything. The doctor was polite and apologised for my long wait explaining how many other ladies needed to be seen before me etc. I was examined but couldn't be told if I had lost my baby or not and have to wait till wedsneday for a scan anyway. If I'd know this from the start I probably would of just gone home back at 7! I asked for my blood results at this time. She said they weren't in my notes and that she would ring the lab. so I then find out that between green area and the lab they had lost my bloods! so I had been sat for 6 hours with an uncomfortable line in my arm for no reason at all. As you can imagine I am very upset at my experience and if I have lost this child it puts me off having another incase I have to go through the experience again.
"Still none the wiser"
