"Bleeding in pregnancy, refered by gp for scan"

About: Manor Hospital

I'm not happy with this hospital at all. The nurses attitude is disgusting, they talk about personal differences between there nursing staff, make remarks about other patients while out patients are waiting to be seen. It's uncomfortable to think how can any one be so unconsidereable. I wen for a scan becauz I had some bleeding at 15 weeks, I got to early pregancy ward only to find nurses talking about other patients and pulling faces. Made me think should I share my concerns with these nurses of why I'm here? Will they turn a round and complain about me? Any way one of the nurses took me to the ultrasound and said nothing except hello follow me, so I did, and while walking the nurses just turned around and said come bak to us wen ur done.! Wen I did return bak I waited for 40 mins to "hear u can go there's nothing we can do", I asked any advice for me about my scan and she replied in short" nothing, Its just old bleed" I asked any thing els she replied ur placenta is lying low, I learned that much from the lovely lady who was doing the scan for me. I mean all I wanted was a little explanation to as why did the bleed start in the first place, I knw u said u can't do any thing it's early. Seeing I had a premature baby at 27 week first time, I thought they might take it in to consideration about me being concerned. Not all staff are the same just the few that need to be resit for professional ethics.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to post a comment. We are very sorry that your experience with us fell short of the standard of care we expect our nurses to deliver. Matron would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you and this can be arranged if you would like to contact our Patient Relations team on either 01922 656463 or patientrelations@walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk.
