"Absolutely Useless"

I went to the labour ward when I was in so much pain and having contractions. When I got there, there was only one person working at the reception doing nothing but complaining because there was nobody there to help (not that you care about that when you're in labour). Waited for half an hour in so much pain and the woman was so rude it was unreal. You'd think they would have someone there that can keep you calm in this situation but she was the complete opposite-she didn't care, showed no sign of compassion and it probably would have been better if this woman didn't even turn up for work with the way she was carrying on. After waiting for half and hour, my husband decided to go to another hospital as this was completely unacceptable from this member of staff and so unprofessional. When he asked for my folder, she just threw it towards him and we were so shocked but didn't even bother to say anything to her. When we went for a tour around the labour ward, they made it seem like it was the best place to give birth and the staff are amazing but let me tell you now - if you go into labour at night, there are no staff and the one person there is useless. The worst worst worst NHS member of staff I have ever dealt with in my life.
