Following an accident I spent twelve days in the Cardiothorarcic unit of the John Radcliffe Hospital. The whole team were totally focused and dedicated and I felt confident and relaxed as all the various procedures were explained to me in detail as my treatment progressed. The unit was very well run and managed, not just on the nursing side, but all aspects from the cleaners, who were frequent and diligent, the caterers who provided good and wholesome food down to the porter who always was cheerful and happy on our numerous visits to X-ray. The care I received was so good, I felt that I had stayed in an exclusive five star hotel surrounded by the most professional and caring people. My treatment is now complete and I am back to full health. Thank you team. You really are as about as good as it gets and you should all be very proud of yourselves and the team which goes to make up the Unit.
"The NHS at it's very best."
