"Good care, although a little disorganised"

About: Queen Marys Hospital (Sidcup)

Went in because of suspected broken leg, was seen by the triage nurse within 5 minutes, then by the main nurse within 30 minutes. Had to have an x-Ray which took a while (not the urgent care fault), but then had to hang around reception for over an hour waiting for a wheelchair to take me back. In the end got crutches as it was quicker. Overall satisfied with the service, although this was Friday morning at 09:30am, and not very busy. Imagine on a very busy day waiting would increase considerable. Total time from arriving, to being seen by nurses, two x-Rays at different time, plaster cast put on, was five hours.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you had a long wait to be returned to the Urgent Care Centre and will pass the feedback onto the 2 Trusts that supplies the X ray and portering facilities. I hope that you are recovering from your injury well. Debbie Maxted Regional Manager Urgent Care - The Hurley Group
