"Lack of treatment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My aunt was rushed to the hospital by her son, in absolute agony!

She has a blockage in her bowel and is in indescribable pain. Yet the staff at this terrible hospital have turned her away because she has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (though we're not fully confirmed, we are awaiting a second opinion as we are completely unhappy with the way the hospital has handled her case)

She does NOT have bowel cancer. Only pancreatic, and yet treatment for any other medical problems have now been completely refused! Now my elderly aunt has been turned away from the hospital to sit at home in absolute agony!

So, the staff at this hospital are willing to just write people off? To sign a death warrant? Because that's what they're doing to her!

This is disgusting! And completely unacceptable!

My family will be looking to contact both the press, and take legal action!

No wonder this hospital has been voted the WORST in whole of the UK. It needs to been shut down!

Please accept our sincere apologies that your aunt's experience of attending the emergency department was lesss than satisfactory. This is not the behaviour we would expect of our staff. It may be that the staff made a clinical decision based upon their assessment, but did not explain this to your aunt or her son.
