"First class orthopaedic care at Barnsley"

I attended the orthopaedic department at Barnsley District General Hospital in June this year.

Everything about my care was first class, from seeing the consultant to being admitted for an operation ten days later. The pre-assessment was fitted in to suit me in between.

On arrival on the day of my operation I was only kept waiting 15 minutes before being called forward for the various tests to be carried out prior to the operation. Then it seemed no time at all before being taken down to theatre. Everyone there was putting me at ease.

When I was taken back onto the ward, the nursing staff, doctors, consultant, physios and not forgetting the cleaners all went about their work in a very professional manner, whilst being very attentive to each individual patient.

The care and attention I received could not have been better if I had gone in as a private patient. I would have no hesitation in recommending Barnsley to anyone.
