"Sunday afternoon,18th January I had a Gastroscopy..."

About: Harrogate District Hospital

Sunday afternoon,18th January I had a Gastroscopy as an outpatient having been referred by my GP only 10 days previously.. I was treated with dignity, respect and sympathetic care by all the clinical staff. The hospital was obviously clean and hygienic as always. The staff obviously worked as a team with everyone cheerful and friendly despite being at the end of a day, and following a difficult and extended procedure with a previous patient. The resulting 1 1/2 hour delay was explained to those of us still to be seen in an apologetic manner. The explanation of the procedure and results was much more thorough than on previous occasions at other hospitals.

Thank you for your feedback, which we greatly appreciate. All of our patients will come into contact with a wide range of teams during their Hospital visit, such as Porters, Domestics, Catering, the Chaplains, front desk staff and also our wonderful team of volunteers, as well as the clinical teams that they are seeing. I am pleased to learn that you received the high quality care that we aspire to. I am sorry there was a glitch with the car park machine, but am pleased that it did not adversely impact on your experience. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.
