All the dealings my family have had with Darlington Memorial have been excellent, apart from years ago when my mother broke her hip and two of the nurses on the ward she was on were quite harsh and made her cry. That however was a long while back and I put it down to individual human failing, as other nurses on the same ward were lovely. My most recent experience was yesterday when I took a friend to an appointment in the Colonoscopy suite. The staff at Darlington Memorial Hospital's colonoscopy department are brilliant. I spent several hours in their waiting room today, waiting for a friend to have a procedure done, and seeing them work so efficiently but sympathetically was a revelation. Similarly we have a relative who has been in intensive care lately, and that department is wonderful too. We must band together to protect our NHS!
