"Excellent care and treatment"

I had the misfortune to suffer a heart attack last Friday afternoon. Following initial investigations in A&E...(the wait was not as long as I expected it to be). I was then seen by the chest pain clinic and although this was a very emotional time for me, I cannot praise the staff enough. Everything was explained to me and after I had got over the shock of having to be admitted and monitored on CCU. The following day I received angioplasty which I can honestly say was the most scarey thing that has ever happened to me. The staff without exception were kind and caring to me and very professional. Everything was explained to me every step of the way. My time spent on Oakley ward was a very positive experience in every way. I cannot praise them enough. I was astonished that I was on my home on Sunday evening and the whole experience now seems pretty surreal. The aftercare/follow-up treatment will not take place in my home town of Leicester and all I can do is hope that the care is as good. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me over a life-changing weekend.
