"Respiratory unit appointment"

About: The London Chest Hospital

Was well looked after when seeing respiratory unit pulmonary test staff. Was given pulmonary test and then seen by the consultant. The doctor performed physical exam and listened to me explain symptoms of right side chest, back, shoulder, arm and leg pain along with chronic persistent dry cough as well as getting my recent chest xray reviewed by another consultant. The consultant informed me that xray looked perfectly clear and clearly explained to me that there is no evidence of anything sinister going on with my lungs and that no further tests required and that my smoking history of 5 pack years to be non significant with regards to my concern of lung cancer. The doctor has sent me for respiratory physio to help with the cough and follow up appointment in 6 months. The doctor made me feel that there is no need to be worried about any chance of having lung cancer. The doctor spent a good amount of time with me and was careful to ensure I was not leaving with any further concerns.
