"referral changed and booked into wrong depart."

I have waited since September for a referral to see a consultant in gyno at Walsall manor hospital. originally I had an appointment for 15th dec. the week before I get a letter saying its been rearranged with no explanation as to why for the 15th Jan. a whole month later. so its now been 5 months since I was referred. went today, waited, saw consultant. only to be told, 'oh sorry they have booked you to see the wrong department, I am a bowl specialist not gyno'!!!!!!!!! there was no one there to rebook and I was sent home being told they will contact me when they sort it out. so now 5 months after referral form my GP I still have not seen a consultant! and don't know when it is they will actually get round to doing it.
