"Poor communication"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

Since making a formal complaint over the NMUH treatment of my Mother in Law I see that nothing has improved. I wanted to trace a friend who had been admitted. After 5 minutes waiting the Switchboard transferred me to A and E - at least the person who answered the phone could tell me where her friend was. Sadly her transfer skills meant that I was transferred to the wrong ward. They asked me to go back through the switchboard, even though an internal transfer would have been easy. Re-dialed the switchboard and after 6.5 minutes wait the line disconnected. Service is as rubbish as it has always been. Try looking at the Royal Free to see how a hospital can be run. I would urge any patient using this hospital to switch.
