I came in for a colonoscopy just over a week ago. It was carried out by the consultant and a trainee. I've had about 5 of these procedures and while they've been fairly uncomfortable they've never been as excruciatingly painful as this, despite having sedation and pain relief. I have never had a nurse press down on my abdomen like she was moving a piano before. It was agony. Since then I've been in constant low level pain, unable to stand for more than a couple of minutes, and my slight prolapse is a lot worse and I have pain down my left side when I walk as well, under my left ribs, burning along my lower abdomen and generally feel bruised inside. If my bladder gets full it aches up inside. Eating pressed down on something. I've even had pain in my hips and down my legs. It's cost me 2 mornings work therefore income as I am self employed. Really really not happy.
