"Mental health care"

About: Ayrshire Central Hospital / General Psychiatry Crosshouse Hospital / General Psychiatry

(as the patient),

I had a breakdown and resorted to alcohol. I was assigned an addiction nurse and three weeks later I was visited. After telling the nurse that, I not convinced as to the problem being alcohol and that I hadn't drank since the breakdown (stress and anxiety). The nurse breathalysed me which shocked me into complying. As I recovered my facilities I became anxious for the nurse to just leave.

I am still awaiting a community mental health nurse four months later, despite an attempted suicide in December.
