"Over the moon with the care I received"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Was in for a couple of days after having a tvt operation and I can't fault anything at all they let me stay till I was ready to leave as with having little ones at home was scared incase anything happened if they jumped on me all the staff were lovely and although I was scared they calmed me right down and I couldn't thank them enough it's just a shame that the hospital won't be there that long and moving further away from me and that is the only thing I'm dissapionted about as now there will be no more hospital trips for me if I need anymore things done

Dear Sarah, Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. I am so glad that your operation went well - it is hard to imagine recovering from surgery when you have playful wee ones running around at home who can't always appreciate why you are tender or protecting your scar. It was lovely to hear how reassuring our staff were and they will be really pleased to receive this feedback when I pass your note on, thanks. Just to reassure you that North Tyneside hospital is not closing . The opening of the new Emergency Care hospital in Cramlington is to provide an urgent response to all medical and surgical emergencies and ensure we can provide specialist cover around the clock to give our patients the best chance of recovery when they are seriously ill. Your local hospital will still exist to provide the other services you may need. I hope that helps. With best wishes Annie
