"booking appointments"

I found trying to book an appointment at the hospital very frustrating and on some occasions impossible, consultants only working at the hospital one morning every week or two,with afternoon appointments finishing at lunchtime or shortly after. Ideal if you are unemployed,retired or very wealthy and don't have a job that makes it difficult to make mornings. The manager I spoke to was very condescending , defensive and not particularly polite and had a take it or leave it attitude. I thought wrongly that a private would offer a better service and more choice than the Royal Berks ...how wrong can you be ? My visits to the independent cost me 2 days holiday so i could attend at the times required, a great deal of stress,an unfortunate discussion with a dispassionate manager and a feeling of disappointment having hoped for a much better experience.
