"Minor injuries bedside manner"

About: Western General Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

Minor injuries is a fantastic service and clearly relieves the pressure on stretched A&E departments. HOWEVER I found the nurse practitioner's attitude to be lacking- rude, abrupt, generally fed up and a bit offensive. I appreciate that they must see a great deal of time wasters, but if you are feeling a bit rubbish (in my case, after a bad fall), a smile and a friendly face can go a long way.

Dear miss bump

I am pleased you took the time to post because all feedback is vital to us. It is good to hear that you appreciate and believe the minor injuries unit is a fantastic service. However, I am sorry and disappointed to hear your comments regarding the nurse practitioner's attitude. Understandably when you are feeling poorly you do not want to deal with someone who has a poor attitude. I can only apologise as this is not what the organisation strives to achieve.

I will pass your comments on to the Chief Nurse for that area and I do hope you are making a good recovery after your fall.
